Sierra Nevada – Pale Ale Clone

I first tried the Pale Ale from Sierra Nevada in the USA and quickly it became one of my favourite and beers I get as a treat, as we don’t see them often here. So therefore, I was thinking if I could make something like it. Found this recipe on an Australian brewing Forum, now I wonder how close it is to the real thing. Mind, I have seen at least four other attempts to make a clone. But hay-ho this looks good and a first go on a mini mash for me.
Now the question is do I dare to go out and get a bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to compare it with?
Tried a little bit while bottling and it is a very good pale ale for sure, looking forward to try it when finished. Though I think I need to to quality control testings often and that it would be hard to keep it inside the bottles.

Two weeks in and it is turning out to be a good Pale Ale. Not as hoppy and strong in taste as others I have had. But definitely not bland, a beer I enjoy. Need to get a Pale Ale from Sierra Nevada, just to remind myself how far of the target I am :)
Six weeks in and it is turning out rather quaffable. I will for sure make this again, I might dry hob it a bit more then.
