Wee Heavy aka Scotch Ale

Scotch Ale – A Wee Heavy “Wee Heavy” is the colloquial term for a higher alcohol variant of the pale ale classification known as Scotch Ale.
1.7kg Thomas Coopers Sparkling Ale
1.5 Amber Malt Extract
500g CSR Brown Sugar
Nottingham Yeast
I used Light Malt instead, as that was what was in the shop. Added a Young’s Ale Yeast as I had that laying about. To get a bit of colour I added about 1.5 litre of very strong tea, 6 bags of Yorkshire Tea steeped for ~20min. And as an added bonus I added 100g of Marble Syrup.
Start temp 22c and OG 1050. Tasted and smelled very sweet, so lets see in two weeks.
